Motorcycle accident takes one man’s life on New Year’s Day 2014, the motorcyclist lost his life after colliding with an automobile in the town of Nokomis, Florida. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a car pulled out in front of the motorcycle right around 5:35pm.

Troopers reported a man from Venice, 52-year-old , was riding his Harley Davidson southbound on U.S. 41 nearing the Waterfront Too restaurant close to Lychee Road. The accident report stated a sedan driven by 85-year-old Polley Lawrence of Sarasota pulled into Yarzab’s path. The elderly driver was apparently exiting the restaurant’s parking lot as her vehicle crossed in front of the Harley Davidson. With little time to react, Yarzab collided with the left side of the car.

The motorcyclist was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead from his injuries. Yarzab was known in the local area as the Club Manager at the Venice Yacht Club.

There were no injuries to the driver. Lawrence received a traffic citation for Violation of Right of Way. It was not made clear whether Yarzab was wearing a helmet. No further details were made available by FHP.
